How we started
"Stand at the crossroads and look, ask for the ancient paths, ask where the good way is and walk in it, and you will find rest for your souls" (Jeremiah 6:16)
In 2010 we left a large metropolitan area and moved to a portion of the Navajo reservation in western New Mexico. We had visited this area nearly a decade earlier and fallen in love with its remote and rugged beauty. At nearly 7500' elevation, we are blessed with beautiful sunsets and the Milky Way at night. In making this move we had to refocus our lives to some degree, downsize, and figure out more what we needed. No longer on the reservation, we are nearby nestled up against the Zuni Mountains in El Morro Valley, with views of mesas and old volcanoes from our porch. We have found our path.
Julie began making soap about twelve years ago, mainly for family and friends. About four years ago we decided to try taking her soap to our local Ramah Farmers Market, and to no surprise, it proved very popular with people here. We think you'll enjoy it too!
Thank you for supporting our business over the last 10 years. Julie has made the difficult decision to wind down her commercial soap making, and as of September 2020 will only be offering a limited inventory of soap through our local businesses in the El Morro valley area.
